It’s been a busy few months. Which, I suppose, came to fruition when Solipsistic Pop – the anthology of alternative British comics that I edited and published – launched at the ICA. I’d been working hard on the book since September and it was wonderful to finally see what everyone made of it. You can read more about that and the reasons I wanted to publish Solipsistic Pop here.

Below is the flyer I created to promote the launch and a flyer I illustrated and designed for Paul Gravett to promote the Comica Comiket which it was all a part of.

(this illustration was later used to accompany a Guardian write-up of the day)

The next event Solipsistic Pop will be a part of is Josie Long’s Lost Treasures of The Black Heart on December 8. More details here. I asked SP contributor Anna Saunders to draw the flyer for the night and I coloured it.

For those of you who followed the My Fellow Americans blog…

Dan Hancox and I are pleased to present My Fellow Americans, the book of the blog, and the first book published about the election, which will be available to buy for the first time on Wednesday 28 May at our launch party in The Cross Kings in (you guessed it) King’s Cross:

illustrated london noise

I will be doing a short half hour DJ set tomorrow (Friday 26th October) at the Illustrated London Noise event – part of the Comica festival. I’ll have an early go at playing other people’s music before leaving it to the professionals. Later in the evening I’ll be sketching people in the bar and giving the results away should people want them. The folks behing Le Gun magazine will also be doing animations and murals throughout. It starts at 8pm and is £4 to get in. Below is the image I drew for the flyer, followed by the final flyer (by the organisers of the event) with all the crucial information I neglected to mention…
