hundred days – delay

Those of you who follow my comic-a-day will have noticed I haven’t posted anything new since day 70. Not for want of trying. There are a couple of minor marks made on paper that I had to abandon due to the flu virus thing I’ve had now for about eight days. Having managed to produce work before when feeling ill, this has left me feeling increasingly guilty but the break has been necessary in order to get better.
This doesn’t mean day 70 will be my last comic a day though. A dear friend suggested that I take my time to get better and just start again when I can (they also threatened to hurt me should they see a new comic up here before I’m better). This seems like the best plan rather than attempt to catch up by producing two or three a day. So, hopefully, in the next few days I’ll have comic 71 up here and I’ll just have to finish a few days later than everyone else taking part.
Not ideal, and I hate to see this challenge derailed after such a strong, uninterrupted run – but it really is unavoidable. Thanks for your patience and for everyone’s encouraging comments, twitter messages, and emails.
UPDATE
After over a month of illness and several hospital visits, I’m now finally starting to feel better. It will take another month at least to feel close to 100% but hopefully I’ll manage to restart the 100 days project in the next week – fingers crossed… I have to say, I’ve missed it.

Get well soon!!!
Rest up! I look forward to your return. :)
I hate Tom Humberstone, and I hate his drawi- oh, god, I didn’t see you there, oh god, man, that’s so embarrassing. Man, did you hear? Maybe you didn’t. That’s cool, that’s fine. Man. Yeah.
What?
which reminds me… go check out Matt’s 100 days (including a homage to my absent comic) here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/mattsheret/
the ice skating video is also worth it for a brief clip of my favourite movie soundtrack of all time – Ennio Morricone’s The Mission
Pffft, you can’t charm me that easily.
Oh, no, wait; yes you can.
Feel no shame. My wheels are spinning on day
54, and have lost my pen for my graphics tablet.
But, now have Internet and plan on making a comeback
next week. Not sure how this is supposed to pick u up,
but get well :)
Sounds like a good plan! Best not to be too hard on yourself when you’re struggling with more than others do. Hope you get back on your feet soon!
good idea – get better soon :-)
I miss reading your comic every day.
cheers Jamie. I miss it too. With Solipsistic Pop 2 out the way and my health back, I’ve been contemplating starting again… watch this space!
