hundred days – day 21

Some readers may not know of my journey across America in 2008. You can read it here.
hundred days – day 20

Lizz and Howard both draw great comics which you should check out.
And so marks the 20th comic. 1/5th down. I’m definitely feeling like I’m getting somewhere with this and improving with each one. It seems I’m settling into a kind of daily visual diary format which I might try to rectify at some point but for the time being, I must say I’m enjoying what it has evolved into. I’m not ruling out a major shift in tone in future comics though.
However, I still feel I’m holding back. If I continue with the diary I think I’ve got to try harder to be more honest… It runs the risk of becoming just another disingenuous auto-bio comic otherwise.
hundred days – day 19

The Man at The Roundabout, Anne and Jess make a reappearance after their debut on Day 1.
The Lost Valley of The Dinosaurs was an old Waddington’s game that had a swamp monster, dinosaurs, volcanoes, lava, treasure, and secret caves. Have your Cluedo, have your Trivial Pursuit, have your Connect Four. I’m having frikkin’ dinosaurs and swamp monsters!
Still can’t find any reference to vodka in mulled wine. Am I being a massive idiot? I honestly didn’t know this was the way to do it… All these years…

For anyone who might be a bit confused – Daniel Kitson is an excellent stand-up comedian. We saw him play in the Union Chapel which suited the content and sermon-like delivery perfectly. You can see a bit of him on youtube here – but I recommend going to his website and subscribing to his podcast (which consists of old live shows and short stories) if you’ve yet to have the pleasure.
It feels wrong – churlish – to have summed up and paraphrased the show so crudely. Try and catch it if you can!
