eagle awards 2008 - winner!

Posted in news, press by ventedspleen on May 14th, 2008

I’ve decided to take a break from comic conventions this year. The reasons are legion, but the main idea was to try and focus on getting various projects finished and be able to approach the cons next year with a wealth of new material I’m happy with - that hasn’t been rushed in order to meet a printing deadline.

This year’s Bristol International Comic Expo (as with other years) also plays host to the Eagle awards ceremony. It took place over the weekend. I was nominated but - due to never receiving an invitation to the awards, my self-imposed convention ban, and my own terrible memory for these things - I didn’t turn up.

Which was a silly thing to do in hindsight as I won the category I was nominated in! The wonderfully friendly and warm guys behind Tales From The Flat picked up the award on my behalf.

Sadly, Issue 2 is currently out of print but I’m going to get a new print-run ready as soon as I can.

Thank you to everyone who voted for me. It really means a lot and I shall have Issue 3 for you as soon as possible (the inevitable work/life balance delays - as always - withstanding).
